  • March 2014 Meeting
    Hello all,

    Who’s ready for Spring!?

I look forward to seeing everyone at the March 7th meeting. There has been a meeting location change. We will no longer be meeting at the College of Saint Mary’s. Instead we will meet at Bergan Mercy Medical Center located at 7500 Mercy Road at 2:00 PM.  The location change was to bring you a great program.  Cindy Perkins and Jim Bothmer will present,  Creighton HSL and ACH Library: Boldly going where no one else has gone before! I hope everyone can make it.

Directions to the Bergan Mercy Library:

If those attending park in the visitors lot in front of the hospital, you come in the Maternity door and turn left. That leads right to the library and the meeting room is next door. If you park in the garage, come in those doors and turn right and walk down the walkway (going east). When you come to the Maternity front door, turn right and there is the library.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

  • December Meeting
    Hello Everyone,

The ICON 4th Quarterly Business Meeting will be held on Friday, Dec. 13th at the Immanuel Medical Center Library at 2:00pm. This will be followed by our annual Holiday Celebration. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to me no later than December 8th so we have an accurate head count for food and gifts. Also, this would be a good chance to join ICON or renew your membership. The yearly dues are $10.00 for an individual and can be paid via cash or check.

We also will be electing a new Freshman Member to serve on the ICON Board so if you are interested in being on the ballot, please let me know prior to the meeting. It is a three year commitment and a great opportunity to network and serve in our local library community.

Directions : once you are on the Immanuel Campus head to the northeast corner of the campus.

The library is located in the Conference Center and The Conference Center is marked on the directional signs and has a large sign over the door that says Conference Center.

There is parking right outside the Conference Center door.

Thanks to Joy Winkler for hosting!

    Hope to see you there,

    Nicole

  • June 2013 Meeting

It’s that time again – the next ICON Meeting will be on Friday, June 7th hosted by Bryan College of Health Sciences Library. Please note the start time is changed for this meeting to 1:30pm.

The campus map can be found online, with the library being located at letter I. The address is 5035 Everett St. Lincoln NE 68506. There is ample parking in the lot to the north of the building as well as across 51st street. We are encouraging carpooling and those driving are eligible for mileage reimbursement from ICON with a full car of 3+ people.

The program for this meeting is the annual ACRL & MLA sharing and swag-fest. If you attended these or other conferences recently, please come prepared to share some highlights (handouts welcome!). If not, it might be a good learning opportunity.
