  • June 2015 Meeting

    From Rose Wilson:

    Hello ICON members!

We have our September 11th meeting coming up next week at the UNO Criss Library, for a tour of the new MakerSpace starting at 2:30. We’ll be meeting in Classroom 249 for our business meeting, with the tour at the end. Please note the meeting start time is 2:30. The classroom is on the main level in the library.

We also have visitor parking permits issued by UNO (sent to listserv), for those that RSVP’ed to Monica. Below is further parking information from Amy Schindler at UNO:

A map of parking lots on campus is available at http://www.unomaha.edu/maps/docs/uno-parking-map-2014-06.pdf . The library is building 9. Anyone with a handicap tag may park in handicap spots in the lot to the east of the library (lot E or D). Lot M south of the library is the closest parking lot to the library for all others. If Lot M is full (it is a Friday afternoon, so the odds are about 50-50), the next closest lot most likely to have available spaces is lot G next to the Welcome Center.

Info about  reciprocal parking permits  from Amy:

    Reciprocal Permit

All valid parking permits issued by other University of Nebraska system campuses (UNK, UNL and UNMC) will be honored in select lots on UNO campuses.

Vehicles displaying valid UNK, UNL and UNMC Faculty/Staff Permits are allowed to park in UNO Faculty/Staff surface parking lots.

Vehicles displaying valid UNK, UNL and UNMC Student Permits are allowed to park in:

    • Lot H, First Christian Church Lot and St. Margaret Mary Lot on the Dodge Campus
    • Lots 9 and 14 on Pacific Campus
    • Lot 20 on Center Campus
    • Lot 26 on Center Campus Arena
    • This restriction is from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. After 7:00 P.M. all University of Nebraska permits are valid in all appropriate lots.

Reciprocal permits are not valid at the meters from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

The meeting’s agenda and the June minutes will be posted. Looking forward to the tour next week!
