I just wanted to remind everyone of the two online opportunities available this week. You can view these on your own or come to Creighton Health Sciences Library’s Thune Seminar Rooms to see them.
1. The first one is the Disaster Information Outreach Symposium that runs all day Tues. and Wed. (Note that the the program will begin at 8 a.m. (CDT) on Tues. and 7:45 (CDT) on Wed.)
This free event for and about information professionals meeting disaster health information needs will be videocast and the recording will be archived for later viewing.
More information is available at http://disaster.nlm.nih.gov/dimrc/symposium2011.html . Under "Agenda," you will find the schedule for the day's sessions, with the first day offering a full slate of sessions focusing on the state of disaster health information outreach.
2. There is also a MedlinePlus Connect online session sponsored by the NN/LM MidContinental Region that you can register for online that will run 12-1 p.m. (CDT). If you want to register for it, here is the link http://www.tinyurl.com/mcrclasses. I believe this session is also being recorded for later viewing.
