National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC)

Check out The National Women’s Health Information Center on the web. NWHIC provides a gateway to federal and other women’s health information resources as well as serving as a link to a wide variety of women’s health. It is a service of the Office on Women’s Health in the Department of Health and Human Services. It really is a “one-stop gateway” for women seeking relevant and accurate health information.

The site is searchable by health topic and includes an extensive Frequently Asked Questions About Women’s Health section. There are many pointers on health information for women of color, women with disabilities, Spanish speakers, and even men’s health. There are also many full text documents and articles and even an online medical dictionary.

Already this site has won some awards and it significantly reduces the time required for locating and accessing women’s health information on the Internet. Check it out!
