A Message from the Senior Executive Board Member

Welcome to the Millennium...again. ICON is looking at another exciting year! Health HQ is well underway and progressing beautifully, ICON is happy to support its members for the local National Library Week program in April, we have the mini-MLA in June to look forward to, and work is in process for the CE this fall! And we’ve just started.

It’s exciting to be the senior member: I’ve watched and learned so much (and continue to learn) from all of the board members, past and present. We have a great group of people: dedicated and caring to ICON. I’m proud to be a part of that!

We’re encouraging members, both new and not-new, individuals and institutions, to join in the festivities and benefits that are ICON for 2001. Membership, for those onlookers, is easy and pretty painless. Join ICON and join the fun!

You are formally invited to attend the next ICON meeting at La Vista Public Library (9110 Giles Road, Room 127 on the Sarpy Center side of the building) at 1:30 p.m. on the 23rd of March. “The La Vista Public Library (http://lavistaweb.mccneb.edu) officially opened on December 1, 1999. It has expanded from an old 4,000 square foot facility to a spacious modern facility of 24,000 square feet.” See you there!
