The Bellevue University Library Staff invites you to attend the Grand Re-opening of the Freeman/Lozier Library on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, from 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and tours of the facility will be provided. Please join us as we celebrate this joyous event.
News of healthHQ has been sited in several newspapers around the state. Press Releases do make a difference! Favorable reporting of the web site appeared, late July and early August in the following:
Harlan County Journal, Alma, NE
Post and News-Chronicle, Benkelman, NE
News-Blade, Bridgeport, NE
Enterprise, Spalding, NE
Press releases were also sent to other newspapers, including the Omaha World Herald, so hopefully word about our healthHQ site will continue to spread!
Angie Arner passed this along from the MEDLIB Listserv, she thought it might be of interest to ICON members:
"I came across a great news story today in my paper (the syndicated health section, so it may be in other local papers today too) about evaluating health information on the web. They prominently feature medical librarians as the guides to finding and evaluating health information!
'The Web sites we're listing are the top 10 assembled by the Medical Library Association, an organization of librarians who deal daily with health and medical information. They work at universities, hospitals and public libraries, organizing and providing information to medical professionals and/or the public. Their jobs put them in a position to evaluate health-related Web sites with authority.'
