1. Meeting called to order at 2:15 pm

          a) Bylaws: Vote later today

          b) Membership: Remember to bring new people to the meeting

          c) Resource: Karen Mier deferred to Mary Helms and Tom Gensichen, who deferred to Old Business

          d) Continuing Education: The College of DuPage series is still being run; Salt Lake City is presenting the NCBI online sessions, feel free to come to Creighton to attend if you want a group experience; a webpage for Education is being considered; a survey on Survey Monkey will be sent out; Marty Magee will present a PubMed class after the first of the year

          a) Executive Committee Election of the Freshmen member:

 

b) Bylaws Change – Standing committees: Continuing Education/ Honors & Awards: Angie Arner called for a vote, Marie R. seconded it; the bylaw change passed

 

c) Hurricane Donation:

A discussion was held on contributing to ALA or MLA to assist in rebuilding of libraries damaged by Hurricane Katrina;

Jim Bothmer moved that ICON donate $100 to the Hurricane fund; Sheryl seconded it; Mary H. moved that we amend it to donate to the ALA Hurricane fund; Jim seconded. A call for questions was made; having no questions, the vote was taken and passed

 

9. RML news: no news to report in light of festivities to come
